What is RotR? Empty
PostSubject: What is RotR?   What is RotR? I_icon_minitimeSat Jan 30, 2010 2:11 am

What do we know about bleach?

Well, it centers around a teenage boy named Ichigo Kurosaki; Substitute shinigami. It's about the shinigami, the Gotei 13 and all those in the divisions. It deals with the hollows, the arrancar, the espada, their creator and his games. We know about the Vizards, those few abandoned and exiled.

So, in a nutshell, it's about the Human World, the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo.

Well, what if you were to take the wonderful world Tite Kubo created but take away every character?

That means no Ichigo Kurosaki.
That means no Rukia kuchiki.
It means no Orihime, Ishida and Chad.
It means no Aizen, no Ulquiorra, no Stark.
No Hachi, no Shinji.
No Soi-fon, no Yamamoto.

In short, every character that you know no longer exists.
What is left then, are their roles.

After all, what is the soul society with out it's captains?
What are the Espada with out a leader?
What are the humans with out some connection to the soul society?

Nothing.

For that reason, RotR has taken the world that Tite Kubo has created, with it's character types and roles, it's locations and general plots but made it so that you can play your original character in them.

The Soul Society? It exists. The Gotei 13? Well, they've been shrunk to the Gotei 5 for the moment (but with room for expansion eventually). The Noble families? Still there with new names. The Espada? Under new management. The Vizards? They were indeed created, but by pure happenstance. Substitute Shinigamis? They don't exist but humans with spiritual powers have long since found out about the existence of the Soul Society (not that they are many).

This is Kubo's world but with our rules. The Rise of the Revolution.

Still confused? Well here is the current state of the world we live in:

The Soul Society is proud of it's Gotei 5; their shinigami military. The Gotei 5, in contrast to the normal operations of modern-day militaries, does not operate as a cohesive unit normally. The command of the divisions are generally left to the discretion of its particular Captain, who commonly runs it whatever way he/she sees fit, allowing for the change of a division's traditional duties to an entirely new set and even the creation of a separate institution connected to the division. The Gotei 5's main duty is to defend the Seireitei but they are also allocated districts Rukongai to defend. In addition to these duties, Shinigami also have to deal with the business of being assigned to the Real World.

The only general authority to call forth a combined front would be that of the words of the Captain-Commander. The current Captain-Commander of the Soul Society is a shinigami who is feared and respected across the Soul Society.
The divisions each have specific area of expertise and are divided in the following way :
First Division : The Leading Division.
Second Division : The Medical Division.
Third Division : The Assassination Division.
Fourth Division : The Combat Specialist Division.
Fifth Division : The Research and Development Division.

Each Shinigami is sorted into the divisions for a reason. When you sign up at Bleach Gotei with a shinigami, please make sure you put your character into a division that suits them and makes sense. If your Shinigami is clumsy, they won't be in the 3nd division, right?

These five divisions did the roles specified above and all was well.

The first complication began when a shinigami, whose name has long since been lost to the mists of time, atempted to experiment with a new ability in his quest for power. However, without knowing it, he tore a hole in his soul, blemishing it forever.

Vizards. Known as the hollowed Shinigami, the masked army. The original one was merely an accident, but now they started appearing by different, more random means. Attacked by their inner-hollows and infected, yet somehow managing to suppress it, but never being able to rid themselves. Some were forced with it, others wanted power, thinking that their Shinigami abilities were too weak. There are countless reasons, but they all lead to one thing: Banishment.

The Vizards are banished from the Soul Society for going against everything they stand for. But they are not enemies, nor are they friends. They are potential allies or foes. All this depends on is the side they choose.

The place of refuge the Vizards have is the Real World. They have all different lives, completely different. Some stay in groups, some wander the world by themselves. Some live rich lives, others choose to live on working-class level. Not all of them knew each other, only a few of them. Those few built a union, making it easier for Vizards to live in the Real World. They decided on three concel leaders who make most the decisions, as they lead the rest of their kind through this turmoil.

However, not every Vizard agreed to be in this organization. There are Rogues amongst them, who continue to live as they did. Their reasonings range from not knowing to not being interested. The Rogues differ from the rest of the Vizards in that they are completely free to do as they please. However, between the Councel of Vizards, and the rogues, there is still that same loyality that all Vizards feel towards there own kind.

A couple years later, A man armed with incredible power came from nowhere. Little did anyone know that in Hueco Mundo, the world of the Hollows, a deep storm was brewing. Light had fallen upon the castle of Las Noches, as it housed the offspring of an unknown event, the Arrancar.

Several Arrancar had been made already. They were not knowing what they were doing, as they tore of their masks and saw the light. The stronger ones bgan to think for themselves, realising that there must be an order. There must be a hierarchy. As more and more appeared, the battle for the top spot began to heaten up. The most powerful Arrancar, known as the "Primera" took it upon himself to reate an order. The top 10 most powerful arrancar, from spots 1-10, will rule all of Hueco Mundo. They will be known as the Espada. With this having been stated, he merely waited for stronger arrancar to appear.

Chaos was spreading as the Shinigami now realised they had two potential threats that seemed to be high on the list. They had their natural enemies, the Arrancar who had suddenly grown such powers, as well as the Vizards, who they knew felt bitter about having their names tarnished.

From this entire event, the Quincies felt the disturbance in the particles of the Real World. They began setting up connections with the shinigami. They had nothing to fear from them, as they had a common enemy. The shinigami did not see it this way. They saw how they had a full plate. If they had anymore problems that may be likely to build up, they would be over-run. They knew that if the Quincy got involved, then the balance of souls would be more imbalanced then ever before. So, they took the Quincy by force, ordering them to disarm immediately.

But how do the Quincies feel about that? The power struggle never happened but the two species are still rivals. The Shinigami reinforced one rule for this war and that was that the Quincies had to find a new way to exterminate the Hollows and Arrancar. Otherwise, the balance would be even more out of whack. The Quincies agreed and adapted their weapons, begrudgedly. This was not enough. They placed spiritual barriers on the Quincy, forcing the amount of spirit particles they can use to a minimum. They were crippled.

They were not happy to be working with the Shinigami at this point, but they were lucky. They had managed to save afew Quincies, who will still be able to keep their power whole, without the shackles.

However, all of these events concentrated in one area of the Real World. It is the largest energy force in the Real World for a reason. Through random coincidences and prehaps a touch of fate, Karakura town has been engulfed in a spiritual war. No one can see it, but some, the more aware, can feel it. And with this, another byproduct of the shinigami's grew: superhumans. Armed with powers that have the potential to be more deadly then any Arrancar or captain, yet hosted in the bosy so fragile.

But this is war and, much like an elephant in a china shop, things will break.

This is the premise of our site. With a few tweaks, you'll see that it's more or less Kubo's Bleachiverse.

So, still interested? Well, first decide what kind of character you want then head over to the topic that will share the last pieces of information you need to create the character and, most importantly, happy rp'ing!
